My paintings can be described as both organic and geometric with random shapes that are more intuitive than representative. I love to experiment with color schemes and to assign colors that are unexpected and lively. I challenge and exaggerate the rules of scale and proportion which allows my paintings to take on a unique and inquisitive language. My paintings are often of exaggerated floral arrangements or simple barns composed of naive shapes rendered in unexpected colors. My work is fresh and unsophisticated and my paintings are often rendered in thick layers of pigment. I work with a variety of mediums to include oils, acrylics, watercolors, ink, and pastels.
